September WVC Boarder of the Month
Our boarder of the month for September is Chessie!
Chessie is a Labrador Retriever that is 14 years young! She comes and stays with us while her mom is away. Every time she comes in her big smile and wagging tail brightens the entire staff's day! Like the superstar she is, when she walks through the building you can hear all of the staff excitedly yelling "Chessieee!" She loves snuggles and hanging out with our team.
You can check out more about our boarding and Make a Reservation - you may see your pet featured here our on our other forms of social media!
Fall is here! Outside it still feels like summer but at the Clinic we are getting into the fall mood. This year come in and try to guess how many candy corns are in the jar on our front counter for a chance to win a fall lantern and $10 Amazon gift card!
We will be accepting guesses until October 31st.
Hurricane Harvey slammed into Texas flooding neighborhoods and roadways forcing thousands of people, and their pets, to flee their homes. Some owners unfortunately had to leave their pets behind. Organizations are braving the waters and rescuing these animals. With the relief efforts still happening in Texas and Hurricane Irma due to hit Florida many are wondering how they can help from home.
Animal safety advocates have joined forces to clear shelters in the Houston area and beyond to make space for animals displaced by Hurricane Harvey. The national effort involves flying the homeless animals already in shelters to shelters in other parts of the country. The animal shelters in Texas that are still up and running are taking in hundreds of displaced dogs and cats and are expecting many more as the rescue efforts continue. Several shelters in our area have received dogs and cats from Texas shelters and are looking for help. You can help by looking at their wish lists and helping get them supplies to take care of the animals and offering your home to foster.
