Many of you may already know Koda if you follow us on social media! Koda is Dr. Liv's foster dog from IL Doberman Rescue Plus. While Dr. Liv was in Florida this past month Koda got to hang out at WVC and continue to lose weight with a managed diet and exercise plan in our rehabilitation center! It has been so exciting to see the transformation Koda has made over the past couple months through Dr. Liv's "Fit Camp" which includes a good diet and exercise. His energy level is up, his coat is improving and his personality is out to shine. After shedding over 35 pounds we all can see just how handsome Koda is!
An excerpt from Koda's page on the IDR+ website: "Koda came to IDR+ via a small rural shelter, where his owner had surrendered him for suddenly urinating in the house during the subzero coldsnap in late December. At 3 years old, he weighed over 120 pounds, couldn’t walk, struggled to breathe, and had a laundry list of medical issues from being free-fed Alpo and never taken to the vet. Over the past several months, he has been fostered with our incredible vet, Dr Liv at Woodstock Veterinary Clinic, who specializes in rehab and PT, and she put him on a diet and acted as his daily personal trainer with underwater treadmill sessions, massage, laser, and other treatments to get him healthy again. He has lost 35+ pounds and is almost healthy enough to neuter!"
